Hello to everyone!
As promised we’re cranking up! Highly intense we are working on many things for our upcoming „Rivalen und Rebellen“-release. We can assure you: Something big is coming!
After the first singles „Rivalen und Rebellen“, „Antiwillkommen“, „Herz schlägt Herz“ and now „Und ich war wieder da“ (all of them with songs which won’t be on the album) we will take things to the next level.
Many of you may ask yourself, why we are working harder on every album, even though we always were working with diligence and unstoppable persistence. Well, the answer is the following and may be easy to comprehend: We discovered, that with every album we make, we gain more passion, more responsibility and most of all more persistence to carry this Frei.Wild-baby even further. To put it short, there is no other way than giving all for us, for you and for our common story.
We noticed it in the last weeks and months even more, that we distinguish us a lot from all the other bands in the german rock-scene. We are indeed proud exotics, something special and also unique.
And yes, it is true, Frei.Wild is not a band that other artists talk good about. And that even if most of them we have never met in person. That characteristic has become our trademark, a trademark that has a damn high value for us. If you would ask experts of market research, they would agree without a doubt. The best about this unique feature of us is, that we didn’t fight for it, it was given to us unplanned. But of course we lost much energy fighting against the continuous headwind we head to struggle with. Maybe it’s more clearly now for you why we are working so damn hard for this band. And now we are more than ever ready!
Also the fact that we are part of every „anti-discussion“ about german music and that many people think that we should be banned we would consider as a good asset. It seems that we are so important that you can not go round the antlered „Deutschrock“-devil!
This „be different“, trying out new things, but always stay true to yourself mentality is a inseparable part of our story. Also the positive attitude about live, home, tradition and the respect to the basic needs of all of us was always and will always be a part of us. And we are very proud that we are not as all the other bands. We are who we are and we are proud of that, that is one of the most important mindset we have. Every other artists should have it, but sadly many of them are just playing with a disguise.
Our children are growing up and sometimes they ask us, why daddy’s band is in the news all the time and they write such things. Well, we have a really simple answer for them: „Child, it’s easy, it is because many newspapers are writing bullsh*t. Daddy’s band is singing about what they want and they are making honest music and many people have a problem with that, we are too honest for many people!“ They get it and honestly we would respond to an adult the same way. Because that’s the truth.
You can imagine that we reckon with polemics and outrage when we release the new album. And who know, maybe we like that… It won’t be quieter than till now, that’s for sure! We know that our reputation can’t get any worse and we benefit from that as we have total freedom in every thing we do. Some people will find the bad in everything!
And now, ladies and gentleman, we are here with a almost sold out tour and with the best of our albums - at least we think so. We love every of our albums so far, but we think with this one we made a really good catch!
We present you for the first time the complete songlist of the basic version of „Rivalen und Rebellen“. In some days we will release more songs, which will be available on some special editions. You will see that this album is the biggest, but also the musically most diversified album of the Frei.Wild-history. You may be afraid that there will be many B-Sides, but we will tell you honestly what you will get.
You know the first four singles, including their videos and the tracks, which sadly won’t be on the album. Sadly because we love all of them. Believe us, all of the songs which will be on the album are the best songs we have written! Have fun trying to imagine how they sound.

And by the way, did you enjoy the search for the „Und ich war wieder da“-single? Wo was lucky and found one of the limited physical version? For all of you who weren’t as lucky: don’t be sad, the digital version is still available everywhere!
And while you were searching we too were working hard: in our rehearsal space. Our green friends are still trying to ban our show, but we don’t worry about that, we are already preparing ourself for our biggest tour so far. But not only we are rehearsing, this time we have invited many bands to join us and to celebrate with us. Those who were at the fan-meeting in Bitterfeld this September already know some of them, but today we will present all of them and also where they are supporting us.
We will start with our main support „Goitzsche Front“, who will be joining us for the whole tour, including warm up shows and the additional shows. Our friends from the eastern part of Germany will play old hits and new songs from the album „Deines Glückes Schmied“, which will be released on the 16 February. We are sure that you will heat up with their awesome German-Rock!

In addition to „Goitzsche Front“ we will have at least one other support act in every town:
The first part of the tour „Stunde Null“ will open the evening with a heavier pace! Their mix of metal and rock will be available on their debut album „Vom Schatten ins Licht“, which will be released punctually at the concert in Bremen on the 13 April.

For the additional show we had to find another support act and we found it in our „Rookies and Kings“-colleagues from „Rockwasser“. They will open the last four show and heat you up properly with some classy german rock!

Same thing for the concert in Brixen, there our „Rookies and Kings“-colleagues from „Bad Jokers“will be joining us. These guys are celebrating 25 years of „Bad Jokers“ in 2018, so they will have enough material to get you going!

It has an awesome line-up with many, many god German rock artists. We will headline the festival on the 21 July. At this point our album will be a few months old, so there will be enough time for you to learn all the lyrics and to scream them loudly! We will not accept any excuses!
